But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Matthew 12:36
Every word. That means every word.
What about Christians?
We will still give account.
It is better to do so now if you can.
Repent and be cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, by the Word of God.
So much chitter chatter, so many wasteful words that mean nothing.
People are not as careful as they should be with what they say.
In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
But he who restrains his lips is wise. Proverbs 10:19
If you’ve ever written a court document,
you know it’s going to be read by a judge.
There are also jobs that your words could be read aloud
and scrutinized in court.
This is something to consider for such a job.
It is also a way to think about this subject,
that our words are meaningful
and that we should be careful about what we say
as we will give account for each word on judgment day.
Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
Psalm 50:14
