not be distracted by earthly things
If only I could hear Your voice,
hear Your call that is drowned out by the chaos of the world and its excitement
If only the words You spoke to me would be louder than all else
I cannot keep Your word if I don’t stay in Your word,
daily, thinking of You every moment,
letting You influence every decision, seeking Your wisdom above all else
If only I let You be King of my kingdom, keeping my mind stayed on You,
hiding under the shadow of Your wings and trusting You
