That’s what Adam and Eve did
They tried to hide and keep secrets from God
They knew they were naked and ashamed
They were trying to hide from God
Trying to cover their own sin
Of course God knew Satan would tempt them and they would take the bait
How they had refused to trust Him
To believe that they could be like God
Satan is such a deceiver and a liar
No one can ever be like God
God is God
He has His place in this universe and we all have ours,
which is less than God
We will always be
We do not get exalted by exalting ourselves
We get exalted by humbling ourselves
We can’t trick God
Or pretend with God
We need to be honest with God
We are already naked and open before Him
Naked and open unto Him with whom we have to do
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight:
but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him
with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:13
No way to hide from God
No way to keep secrets from Him
Lurking in the darkness does not keep our secrets from God
We cannot cover or correct our own sin
Only Jesus can and does cleanse our sin to make us a new creation
Any effort to conceal our sin is pointless and offensive to God
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
