For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
What percentage do we have to love the truth? 80%? 90%?
If we are guilty of missing one part,
we can forget the whole thing
For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Galatians 5:9
If we disregard anything the Lord says, that is change it,
refuse to acknowledge it, think it is not for us, we are in a bad space
There are teachers out there that we will hear and agree with,
but only God can reveal the truth to you
Never follow any human or any doctrine
that someone else has laid out for you, follow Jesus
On Judgment Day, nobody is going to be beside you
None of your teachers, none of your friends who believe the same way you do,
Jesus will stand before us with the Father if we have followed Him
and stood up for Him
but no fellow humans who have mistaught His word will be there,
only Jesus, and He will either confess us before His Father
or will not confess us before His Father
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men,
him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men,
him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33
We are responsible to know His word and to follow Him
Fear God, Love His word and stand up for Him
Humble ourselves before Jesus and His word, no matter if we like it or not,
we must acknowledge His word is His full reflection of Holiness,
otherwise, we are denying Jesus Himself
Love the Truth
That is love it with every fiber of your being and if you don’t,
ask God to help you see things the way He does
He is God, after all
This will be the fate of those who do not love the truth:
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
Harsh words
Rejecting Jesus’ words and rejecting Jesus are the same thing
because Jesus is His word
If you want to put your thoughts into obedience of Christ, pray this:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing
that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Keep cheering one another on this journey that we are taking
Jesus wants to help us in whatever way we are deficient
It is not an easy walk, trying to please Jesus and do things His way
We will be rewarded greatly for our efforts toward Him
The greatest reward will be knowing Jesus:
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3
