Is Christmas Jesus’ Birthday?
Maybe, maybe not.
If you celebrate Jesus’ Birthday, so be it.
If you don’t, so be it.
I have seen and heard many people correcting those who celebrate Jesus’ Birthday. How dare they?
They think the way others’ celebrate is not important to them or to God.
Excuse me, but who decides what is right before God but God Himself?
They find scriptures in the bible and whip others with those.
You must worship the way I decide you should..
It is not up to you to decide, look here at this and look here at that.
God is not pleased.
They say things like:
You should have no Christmas tree.
You should not buy presents for others.
Christmas is too materialistic and you are dishonoring God to participate.
You don’t need any fancy dinners
or to adorn your home with Christmas lights.
Christmas festivities are idols and bother God.
Take your self-righteousness, which is an abomination to God,
and tell it to Him.
It really belongs in no other place but at His feet so He can cleanse it.
What they are forgetting is that God looks at our hearts.
He knows how much attention we give to other things
and how we honor Him in our desire to love others during festivities.
He knows how each and every time we say, Merry Christmas, we are hoping people will think of our Lord and Savior and realize what He has done for them and all humankind.
I knew a family who made a Red Cake every year for Christmas.
It was Jesus’ birthday cake and they sang Happy Birthday to Him.
This cake was special to them, so was the time.
Who can decide whether God appreciated it or not, except God Himself?
God knows our hearts.
If we are listening to Him, He will teach us to be less like the world.
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful;
all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. 1 Corinthians 10:23
We are all in different places in our walk with Him.
God is gracious and merciful.
He is not looking to pick us apart.
He is looking for our dedication to Him which is to Jesus and for Jesus.
Others cannot tell us what is in our hearts or what our intentions are.
Only God can judge our hearts.
We answer to Jesus and not any human.
We are free to share our love with God and others as we choose.
Follow Jesus.
