Jesus, Distraction, Destruction and Damnation

So easy to get distracted
To take our eyes off the prize,
to focus on the chaos this world displays,
to get off task,
to remember to focus on Jesus through what we see
Walking in this world is similar to walking through sludge
with things in it,
those things that can trip you,
things that can cause injury, abrasions, or obstacles, distractions

As we enter into The End Times,
we will see distraction, destruction and damnation
It seems at present, we are seeing the beginning of the apostasy
Church leaders are rising up,
being proud of their stance on worldly matters
that pertain to sin and unrighteousness
So many sinful things are becoming acceptable
and some are even lauded as normal and to be admired
The strength of the Word of God
grafted into our spirits and souls can help us to stand,
along with a staunch love of the truth,
that guides us through the sludge and mire to keep Jesus as our focal point

In the last few months, I have had several friends,
Christian parents, who told me they have reluctantly accepted
their children’s choices to live with their partners
They feel there is nothing they can do, so they accept it
Just because the world has decided to accept something as normal
does not mean God’s word changes
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Here is a portion of scripture pertaining to sin:
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Have we forgotten Damnation?
Have we forgotten about Hell’s fire?
Is it just a fable?
Or is it the truth?
And if it is the truth, why are people not speaking out against it?
Especially parents to their own children?
How did we get so that sin is acceptable to us?
We should hate sin because it separates us from God
We should also know to speak against it
and not tire of speaking the Word of God,
no matter what the repercussions

It is true there is a time and a place
Fastings and prayer and pleading and petitioning the Lord
that our children and loved ones follow hard after Jesus
That He opens their hearts and eyes to hear His word
and that the Holy Spirit works in the conversations we have
to let them hear the truth spoken in love
Only we and God Himself know if that is happening,
if we are truly reaching out to God in desperation for their souls

How important is it that our children walk with Christ?
It could be a matter of life and death for all eternity

Calvinism is one false doctrine that teaches once saved, always saved
it also sucks the desire of taking up the cross daily to walk with the Lord
to commune with Him, to stand up for Him with fervent dedication
Calvinists believe if people believe, fine, they were meant to be saved,
if not, fine, they were meant to be damned
Those who follow Calvinism figure if someone is predestined to salvation, they will make it, otherwise they won’t
Nothing we can do about it
Very false doctrine
They also don’t believe anyone can lose their salvation
Also false doctrine
These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me
. Matthew 15:8
Looking in the Sermon on the Mount (listen), Matthew 5-7 (read)
you will find many ways people can lose their salvation
Jesus said it Himself

Take damnation seriously

Destruction is inevitable
it is part of this world
Let it be the destruction of our flesh and not our souls

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 1:23
