Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?
Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord.
Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. Jeremiah 23:23-24
Jesus is very near. He is also bigger than any of us can imagine. He is God.
He is everywhere. He created everything.
He created the Heavens and the Earth and He created you and He created me.
All of the intricacies from the atom to the galaxies and everything in between.
Jesus is near and far.
He is near if we draw close to Him and seek Him.
He is far to those who don’t.
God hears everyone who calls out to Him, but He does not always listen.
Depending on their hearts, which is what God is always looking at,
and we have no way to know others’ hearts, He responds as He chooses.
Sometimes He is quiet, but that is not the same as being ignored.
He does not obey us.
If we are humble before Him, remembering who is in charge,
He will be there for us.
If we order Him around and tell Him what He needs to do
based on what His word says, we could find ourselves being ignored.
God describes what attitude He is looking for in His word:
For all those things hath Mine hand made,
and all those things have been, saith the Lord:
but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit,
and trembleth at My word. Isaiah 66:2
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the Earth. Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
Jesus is there for you if you reach out to Him.
If He responds to your inquiry, do not take that lightly.
