Jesus Opens Doors

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write;
These things saith he that is holy,
he that is true,
he that hath the key of David,
he that openeth, and no man shutteth;
and shutteth, and no man openeth;
I know thy works: behold,
I have set before thee an open door,
and no man can shut it:
for thou hast a little strength,
and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 3:7-8

When we have committed our lives to Jesus,
we live in another realm
our lives are directed by Him
He takes over as much as we allow
and does so as He sees fit

Sometimes we cannot understand His ways
It may take years to realize something He has been trying to teach us
When He opens or shuts a door,
that is for His purpose
He has His reasons which are always for good
Sometimes we are entangled in things
that are not helpful for our walk with Jesus
if He takes something away, let it be

There are two other ideas that come to mind:
Look for the blessings
and wherever He sends you, He will prepare the way
I have had both of these become reality in my life

I learned long ago when I don’t see blessings in a certain area,
to move on and look to where they are coming,
in other words, stop knocking on the door that is shut
and find one that is open
There always are areas that He is blessing,
I just have to find them

The other is that when I have had to do a task,
and known there was something God has asked of me,
I have waited and watched the Holy Spirit prepare the way
He has set up amazing circumstances,
that only He could have arranged
so that I could complete what He has asked of me
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon,
that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. Joshua 1:3

He prepares the way for us when He wants us to do something:
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up,
take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak,
neither do ye premeditate:
but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye:
for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Mark 13:11
Behold, I will send my messenger,
and he shall prepare the way before me:
and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple,
even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in:
behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:1

As we rely on Him,
trust that our lives truly are in His hands,
submit to His word,
we will be more conscious of His work in our lives
and we will be aware that the Open and Shut doors are from Him
