Jesus, the Living Water

(A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.)
O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is; Psalm 63:1

Jesus said He is the Living Water:
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him
a well of water springing up into everlasting life
. John 4:14
Sometimes we get dry, our well that should be springing up
We can feel the dryness
We can taste it
It is not just about needing to read the word or to pray
It’s about keeping our focus on Jesus
It’s about pressing in,
delving deep,
searching until we find
Continually praying
Drinking of Him
Feasting on His word
Spiritual thirst and hunger that the world cannot satisfy,
that the world cannot understand
Aching
Longing
Feeling the need to be closer to God way deep in the soul
and being entirely exhausted by the toils of the world we live in
It’s about knowing this world is not our home

An urgency to be near to:
The Prince of Peace
The Everlasting Father
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
The Mighty God
The Alpha and the Omega
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye double minded
. James 4:8
Yes, remove anything from this world that gets in between you and God
People, things, or whatever it may be,
Keep Jesus in His rightful position
The well of Living Water within you will then be more able to flow freely
