If only we knew
If only we knew the future, then maybe we could know what to do
Jesus told us not to worry about tomorrow
In other words, live for today
That doesn’t mean we are not to be wise
The most important thing is to follow the leading of His Holy Spirit
There will be times when He warns us of things to come
Joseph had warnings of the famine to come
and was able to use God’s wisdom and direction to save God’s people
What Joseph did in the storing up of food for 7 years’ was by faith
The ark that Noah built was also by faith
We, too, are encouraged to prepare for hard times to come and that is by faith
And what shall I say more?
For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and of Barak
and of Samson and of Jephthah, of David also and Samuel
and of the prophets, who through faith subdued kingdoms,
wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword.
Out of weakness they were made strong, waxed valiant in battle,
and turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Hebrews 11:32-34
Whatever it is you have been directed to do, it is important to do it
Our task remains the same: to walk by faith and not by sight
We are being directed by the Holy Spirit
and it will help to realize our actions are spurred by faith
There are many things that will come to pass
God tells us of some of them
We know there will be battles and upheavals until the day of Christ’s return,
that the Earth will be destroyed by fire
As difficult as things may get, God is with us, to see us through,
to hear our every prayer and to lead us in the direction He is asking us to go
no matter how difficult things get in this world
He will never leave us nor forsake us
