That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me. John 17:21
Once we have decided to follow Jesus and offer our lives to Him, we are a part of Him.
If at some point, we choose to lose our first love, to become lukewarm and not to do our first works,
He will spit us out of His mouth. That is not a common teaching in the church.
Seek the Lord and read and study the scriptures that pertain to these warnings.
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
The warnings are clear in The Book of Revelation and in other parts of the bible
where we have seen people remove themselves from God’s fellowship
in both the Old and New Testaments once they have rejected Him.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask,
and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.
There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 1 John 5:16
We are a part of God and He is a part of us once we have given our lives to Him.
At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you. John 14:20
This concept is hard to really grasp until we understand how God really wants to fellowship with us,
how deep and wide and vast His love for us is.
We are His temple now.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Cor 3:16
Since Jesus lives in us, and we are a part of Him, like He is a part of the Father,
and we are all supposed to love each other as He has loved us, we have high marks to achieve.
With God, all things are possible.
