Just you and Jesus

Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man,
and maketh flesh his arm,
and whose heart departeth from the Lord. Jeremiah 17:5

Sometimes you feel all alone
Like no one understands, like no one cares
Just Jesus
Your earthly friends and loved ones cannot be there
They have their own toils and lives
and they don’t always have time or energy or compassion
Jesus does
We want to hear words and have a fleshly person
who is in front of us telling us what we want to hear
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8

Jesus felt the same way
When He was about to be crucified,
He wanted His disciples to watch and pray with Him
They fell asleep while Jesus was sweating as it were great drops of blood
That is what you call stress
When He was crucified, the disciples scattered, except John

Jesus has been there
He knows what it’s like to have humans
not understand what you’re going through

He is always there for us
He absolutely understands every single thing
We have to get used to what that feels like to have Jesus supporting us
It’s quite different than what it feels like to have a human talking to you
or hugging you or listening to you, but it’s more fulfilling
Jesus understands every single solitary issue, everything
He gets it
He knows everything that was said, He knows your expectations
and your disappointments
He knows it all
Every thought
Every hope
Every dream
So nice that you don’t have to explain it all to Him

The next time you feel all alone in a human sense,
take the opportunity to draw closer to Jesus
He is your confidant, the One in whom you can trust
with all that is in your heart
And, an added bonus, God can work out the situation for good,
humans can try that, but it’s not the same

Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him,
and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him.
The Lord is their strength,
and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Psalm 28:6-8
