If you are being attacked, keep your eye on the prize.
Praise Him, glorify Him, let Him reign in whatever situation you are facing.
Keep Him at the preeminence and at the forefront of your mind.
Do not focus on the enemy.
Lift Jesus high. Lift Him up above the situation, above the circumstances.
He will bring the enemy down to be defeated in Jesus’ name.
Many people who are attacked by the enemy believe in fighting the enemy.
That is not what people in the bible did. There is no fighting. the battle has been won.
Praising God for who He is and lifting Him up in the situation is what needs to happen.
Sometimes, Jesus will guide you to fast and to pray and to do whatever He asks you to do.
That still does not mean you focus on the enemy.
Keep your focus on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of the faith.
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons,
and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them
to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying,
We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them,
and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus;
and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. Acts 19:11-17
The evil spirit did not obey the command of the exorcists, even though they spoke the name of Jesus.
They were not operating under the power of the Holy Spirit. In other words, they did not have the power and authority that Paul had and their power was human power without God’s blessing.
In Ephesians 6, we are encouraged to always have on the amour of God
as we need to be always ready with no breach in our protection.
Our protection comes from the Lord. It comes from doing what He has told us to do.
There is no power against the enemy apart from the Lord.
Jesus is our strong tower and He is the one who empowers us.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
We do not wrestle with evil apart from the Lord Jesus. Keep your eye on the Prize.
