But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again;
and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:
for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35
Jesus was kind to the unthankful and the evil.
We know about loving our enemies. What about being kind to our enemies?
Loving the unlovely.
Kindness takes effort.
It also gets to be a habit.
Jesus wants us to be sincere, not just go through the motions.
That does make it a little more work.
How can we be kind even though we cannot find a good reason to be kind?
There doesn’t have to be a reason. We may never find a reason. Be kind anyway.
