We know the Lord.
We hear His voice.
He says, Watch, so we are not caught unaware.
We are to look for His coming.
We also are supposed to occupy until He comes.
We know what tomorrow brings because He has warned us in His word.
We must prepare as He directs us.
We can only do what we can do.
Let us not borrow trouble.
If our eyes focus on what may happen tomorrow
and how things will affect us, we are missing it.
We are missing what Jesus is trying to tell us.
It is a bit complex.
Paying attention to the times, but not worrying and not living in fear.
We each must wrestle with God on this.
Jesus wants us to find our peace in the midst of the storm.
The disciples had to cry out to Jesus when they were afraid.
Jesus was asleep
and their boat was tossing in the waves of the tumultuous sea.
He comforted them and took care of them.
Jesus watches over us.
When we trust in Him, He is there for us.
He told us of many rough times that are coming upon the Earth.
Wars and Rumors of Wars, Famines, Pestilences, The Seals, The Trumpets.
We must be prepared mentally and spiritually and keep our focus on Him.
Our hearts need to be prepared.
We also must find our resting place in Him.
Hiding under His shadow.
Keeping our minds stayed on Him and not fearing.
What a conundrum.
Humility and fear of the Lord.
If we have that, we are in good shape.
Don’t hang your hat on anything you have done
or that you are solid in your faith.
We are at His mercy.
We will need His strength and ever present help in times of trouble.
Remember when He was about to be crucified,
the disciples didn’t like the idea. Jesus sweated great drops.
Be willing to suffer and die for our Lord.
If you’re not there yet, seek to get to that place.
Many followers of Christ before those of us who walk on this Earth now
have experienced very difficult circumstances.
Christians really were fed to Lions in Rome.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego really were cast into a fiery furnace
and Jesus walked with them there and protected them.
There have been many atrocities that we cannot understand.
Tomorrow belongs to God.
When Peter walked on the water toward Jesus and then began to sink,
he was afraid. Jesus didn’t let him sink.
He reached out His hand and helped him.
So shall He do with each of us who trust Him.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass,

and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.

and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
