Let Me Hear Your Majestic, Thunderous Voice within Your Still, Small Voice

Your words are few.
When You speak, it’s important
Most marvelous, and stunning, and strong, Lord Jesus.
Your word is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces and divides the soul and spirit and discerns the thoughts and intents of my heart.
What is on Your heart, dear God?
You say in Isaiah You look to the one who is humble and contrite
and who trembles are your word.
Do I tremble at your word?
Am I listening?
Am I honoring what You are saying over my life?
Let me hear, loud and clear, the words You speak to me.
Let me not disregard Your word.
Let me seek You throughout the day,
to turn my ear toward You and Your will for my life.
Give me a greater hunger and thirst for Your word,
as You are the Bread of Life, the Living Water,
so I will never thirst again.
Wash me with Your Word.
Cleanse my every inner part.
Clean it out Lord.
There are dark crevices that only You see.
Keep me as the apple of Your eye
and look not upon me with disdain.
Help me to follow You with my cross
and to daily die to my inadequate self,
so I may follow You with greater fervor.
I cannot do any of that without Your word, without You,
because You are The Word.
Thank You that Your Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
Let me be a faithful and worthy follower of You, Jesus.
