But the men put forth their hand,
and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
Genesis 19:10-11
The angels struck the wicked men of the city with blindness,
and they still tried to find the door to attack the angels
That is what we are seeing today, wickedness is abounding
People are so bent on satisfying their own lusts that they will stop at nothing
it is wearying to live amongst these people
But as the days of Noah were,
so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:37
They are godless and ruthless and seem to be full of demonic influence
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
The people that live today are not all that different
from the people who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah or Tyre
or in Noah’s day before the flood
when God decided their sins had reached Heaven
and He would no longer tolerate their sinful behavior
That was not God’s best for them
They chose their wickedness
I wonder how different things would have turned out
had they kept their sinful ways to themselves
That must be impossible for them,
the world loves to flaunt their nature before others
Look at me!
I am wonderful!
Just like their father, the Devil
Even so: Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Luke 6:36
When Jesus walked on the Earth,
He was disappointed with those who had refused the truth,
with those who were unable to realize who He was:
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon,
they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. Matthew 11:21
Shake off the dust of your feet if they refuse the gospel
Let them be
And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city,
shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. Luke 9:5
The saints will get worn out, weary
And he shall speak great words against the most High,
and shall wear out the saints of the most High,
and think to change times and laws:
and they shall be given into his hand
until a time and times and the dividing of time. Daniel 7:25
We are already tired of evil
I suspect it will get even worse, more intolerable for the saints
Our lights will shine brighter as we reflect the Lord’s brilliance
because of the cleansing He has been able to do in us
as His bride who his preparing herself for His coming
Let us not let our love grow cold, even for our enemies:
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again;
and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:
for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35
Noah had to build the ark
amongst mockery of those who did not believe
We are not that different now
Lot had to leave his life behind
in order to not get swallowed up in the destruction the Lord sent on his city
Our witness will be great if we choose to follow the Lord
There will be no hiding of wickedness or holiness
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still:
and he that is holy, let him be holy still. Revelation 22:11
We will all be wearing our hearts on our sleeves, spiritually speaking
Keep preaching the gospel until your last breath
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 1:22-23
