And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord.
And, behold, the Lord passed by,
and a great and strong wind rent the mountains,
and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord;
but the Lord was not in the wind:
and after the wind an earthquake;
but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire;
but the Lord was not in the fire:
and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:11-12
If life is going too fast, if you can’t get your bearings,
sit down and listen, listen for your Savior’s voice, His heartbeat,
what He’s telling you, what He could be trying to show you or teach you
He likes to get our attention
Sometimes we can miss God if we’re not listening,
If we’re not taking the time to hear from Him
We can reject Him, refuse to listen, but if we choose Him,
if we choose to follow Him, to walk with Him, to carry our cross,
our responsibility is to seek Him and the hidden treasure He has for us
You’ll find yourself in diverse and various situations
that only God can get you out of
If you try to remedy them yourself, without His help,
you’ll wish you had asked for His help instead
His ways are always better than ours, always
And He does care about everything, every little thing
There is so much to learn about Jesus
So so much
We will be learning about Him through all eternity
We start now, here, right when we met Him
That moment you realized He was God should have been life-changing
If it wasn’t, go back to square one
See what He has for you
Ask and wait on Him until He makes it clear
If it takes a few days, keep listening, or weeks, keep listening
He will make it clear
Jesus will never let you down
His voice is always surprising and He always says just the right thing
And He will always direct you in just the right way
I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.
John 10:14
