Be really quiet and listen for the Lord
If He doesn’t speak, wait and keep listening
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord.
And, behold, the Lord passed by,
and a great and strong wind rent the mountains,
and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord;
but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake;
but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire:
and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:11-12
Sometimes we don’t listen
Other times we don’t want to hear what God is saying
It is vital to love the truth whether we like it or not
Submit yourselves to God, be humble and correctable
He teaches us things we don’t expect and challenges our human intellect
To think we have it all figured out puts any of us in a dangerous place
Our hearts are to be in tune with Jesus,
trusting His Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into all truth
We are to rely on Him to teach us and lead us
and reveal to us what we need to know
If we try to figure out things in our own logic, we will end up nowhere good
If ever we think we have things all figured out, we are mistaken
We know in part
The rest will be revealed as we are able, as He chooses to show us
Some people try to figure out the Books of Daniel and Revelation
They have their timelines all sequenced
and some even claim to know who the Antichrist is
or the time Jesus will return
Each part is on a need-know-basis
God will reveal those mysteries as we need to know
Following Jesus and staying in sync with His Holy Spirit
is a sure way to be in His will
Meanwhile, keep Christ as the preeminence
Learn His word like it is the greatest treasure you have ever found
Have the Four Horses been released?
Which seal are we in now?
How many of them have been opened?
Where are we on this timeline or that?
Any teacher who determines what will happen and when
is toying with man’s doctrine, depending on the graphs that are calculated,
the truth can get intermingled with mortal imaginations
The Book of Revelation has some simplicity to it
There is some order, we know some of the things that will happen,
such as martyrdom and Christ’s return
Christ’s return is mentioned in the first chapter of Revelation
Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him,
and they also which pierced Him:
and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7
The seals, the bowls of wrath, and the trumpets
We are reminded to only worship God or Jesus, His Son, never Angels
We are also reminded that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
We know Jesus will toss the devil and his angels
and all who choose that ancient devil into the Lake of Fire
We learn about the Mark of the Beast
and that there will be no going back once a person has decided to accept it
We also know that many will be killed for not taking the Mark of the Beast
We learn about the great battle of Armageddon
and how violent and yet righteous that battle will be
We also know God has Books and will open them
Jesus will come when we least expect Him
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth,
and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Rev.16:15
