Pray for open doors for the gospel to be preached freely.
The flesh profits nothing, the Spirit gives life.
So, with that thought in mind, we want to be led by the Holy Spirit.
When He gives us the opportunities, take them.
Sometimes it may seem awkward.
That doesn’t matter.
When you’re planting seeds or watering them, sometimes things aren’t perfect, your seeds fall where you don’t mean for them to or the water spills.
That is okay.
Keep listening and being aware of opportunities of the open doors
given by the Holy Spirit.
Pray for openings in conversation. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel.
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63
It can be very awkward in our American culture to bring up our faith.
If the Lord prompts you, go with it.
It’s okay if it’s not perfect.
God is always looking on the hearts of men. Always.
He sees your heart, He sees their heart.
He is the One who brings the increase.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6
It isn’t our perfect preaching that does, or our perfect testimony.
Listen to Him.
He knows what the others will hear, so say what is on your heart.
If it’s rejected, that doesn’t mean you said something wrong.
That means, the people refused His love and your love for Him.
Be yourself.
We are just one part of God’s wooing someone.
Our prayers for our walk with Jesus, for those open doors,
for those people that God will bring across your path,
those people that God will give you the opportunity to share with,
God will bless.
We can pray for the Lord to give us opportunities and even the words.
I caution you, don’t get caught up in perfection.
Just try to listen to the promptings and say what He gives you.
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver Proverbs 25:11
Some of those seeds we plant will not fall on good ground, on absorbent soil,
no matter how much we pray.
We can pray the Lord till the ground, but some will still not hear.
That is beyond our control.
Keep praying for open doors.
Take them when they come your way.
Be ready in season and out.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:2
People notice your life. They notice what comes out of your mouth,
how you treat others, how your life reflects God.
If they are searching for God, you just may be one of those who helps bring them closer to Jesus by your words, by your actions and by your prayers.
Listen. Watch and pray.
