People like to have an image to look to
When Moses went up to the mountain, the people made a golden calf
Something to look to, to be a representative of God
The heathen love their idols but is it just the heathen?
Later on in scripture, the Israelites wanted to have a King,
to be like other nations
God was in charge, but they wanted a King
That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us,
and go out before us, and fight our battles. 1 Samuel 8:20
I imagine that was hard for God
It was hard for Samuel and he prayed to the Lord and God responded:
And the Lord said unto Samuel,
Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee:
for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected Me,
that I should not reign over them. 1 Samuel 8:7
God would have liked to have had a relationship
with each and every one of those people

Preachers and teachers that people follow like God

A true pastor who serves God does not want to be in between you and God,
he wants to help you grow in your own relationship with God
Any person who wants us to look
to him or her for the answers in place of God should be avoided
The Bible is to be exalted and Jesus must have the preeminence in our lives
Some people worship politicians, Trump for example
We should never worship a man,
any human being or any idol, a graven image
Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Exodus 20:3
Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
He is where our loyalty should lie
For us to ever put someone else in His Place is Idolatry
whether it’s a person or graven image or anything before the Lord God
The most concerning thing about this way of thinking
is that the AntiChrist will be ushered in and people will want to follow him
They’re being primed and readied
Many will fall away
If we do not have our relationship solid with Jesus, now is the time
Spend more time with Him,
reading His word, praying, fasting, learning about Him
There is no better way to gain an understanding
of who Christ is but by seeking His face, His ways and aiming to please Him
He will see your heart and reward your diligence
