Enemies are no fun.
When you are just trying to go about your business, there they are.
The worst enemies are those with a spiritual reason they are so evil but you can’t fix them.
You can tell them God’s ways. They don’t care about God’s ways. They won’t listen.
Proverbs says, The tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. from Proverbs 12:10
When you want them to care, that doesn’t mean they will. They likely still won’t even when you point out things.
They hate it when you point out kindness or compassion.
They really do not understand what you are trying to say.
it is overwhelming to deal with these people.
It is also a reminder of why there is a Hell
where all those who refuse God’s laws and ways will be separated from those of us who honor God’s laws and ways.
Otherwise, Heaven would end up just like Earth is now.
It is so hard to love them. What does loving your enemies mean exactly? How do we perform that task?
Compassion.
Kindness.
Prayer for them.
Hoping for them to be open to God’s Holy Spirit.
Wishing for their best.
And the greatest of these is Love.
It is the goodness of God that leads to repentance.
Be good to them and pray that God will have compassion on them.
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Romans 2:4
