Manna

Hold on to the promises that you have been given
Don’t let go
Tightly grip them
When it feels like your fingers are going to slip
When it’s as if you are looking down and going to fall,
Hold on

Make yourself dive into the word and see what He has for you today
He gives us Manna everyday
Every single day
He washes us with the water of His word
His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness
We cannot stock up on God’s word and expect to be fine
We need to learn it, yes, even memorize it and let it become a part of us
we need to be concentrating on His word,
meditating on it, yes, keeping it inside of our hearts,
speaking it,
relishing in it
We also need to hear it fresh, from Him, each day,
even each time we are weary or we need Him to speak to us, He is there

Whether you have to dig it out and dust it off
from somewhere in your cloudy memory,
pick up your phone and listen to a bible app or read His written word,
it must be new, fresh and replenish you for this very moment
His word is alive,
Multifaceted

Commune with Him, fill your lamp, let your light shine
embrace what He is teaching you right now
There is a lesson that will help you to become more like Him,
He may speak in a still, small voice or in a loud, thunderous voice
He will give you what you need if you seek Him
