If you are in sin: unforgiveness, hatred, you don’t care for the poor,
you might treat your children poorly or your spouse,
well, your prayers may not be heard.
We cannot live how we want and expect our prayers to be answered or even heard.
Keeping our hearts turned toward Jesus and His ways will be pleasing to Him
and He will hear and answer our prayers.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and His ears are open unto their cry. Psalm 34:15
On the contrary, when a human’s ways do not please the Lord,
his or her prayer may not be heard.
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. Proverbs 28:9
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Matthew 22:36
Some might say, what law? We are not under the law, but under grace.
The Law was given as guidance and to help us know right from wrong.
We can consider the Jesus, as the fulfillment of the Law.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:40
Commandments we are to follow are below:
He taught us the two greatest commandments and then added a third.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:37-39
A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another. John 12:34
Take heed lest we offend God or ignore His commandments
and live in self-righteousness and refusal to love the truth.
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you:
yea, when ye make many prayers,
I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Isaiah 1:15
Usually hands being full of blood means murder.
Our country’s hands are full of blood with tens of millions of abortions that have taken place and it is called a medical procedure while multitudes of babies are killed daily.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask,
and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.
There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 1 John 5:16
That is all up to God whether He prompts you to pray or not.
I have had Him say to me, I will not hear.
Not because of my heart
but because of whatever the person I began to pray for had in their heart.
God does not listen to and and answer all prayers.
Seek to please God and be open to His correction.
