Do you ever feel like your life has so many problems, you can’t see beyond?
You know God will help you, but the problems are so big,
so insurmountable that you can’t see the solutions?
And, your job? It is to rest.
Rest, placing things in the good hands of the Lord,
There is no better position to be in.
Conflicts and battles and just a bunch of trash heaped in a big pile.
That’s where I am right now.
Problem after problem.
I can’t see one part of my life that is without problems
except my relationship with Christ.
With the exception of the normal trying not to sin
and holding my tongue and my other human failings,
I’m in a good spot.
He has all the answers.
It feels like He’s sleeping, taking a break.
He has His own problems to deal with.
He’s quite busy dealing with all the wicked people in the world.
But I know He is working in my life.
He’s sorting and organizing
and removing the dross from the piles of problems.
If I told you just one you could sympathize.
If I told you all of them, you would want to go away and not hear anymore.
Only God has the solution to these issues.
He is the only One who can work all these things together for good.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
That’s what I’m counting on.
I need to trust and have faith that He will see me through,
through to the solution of every single one of them.
Like Paul, I need to rise above the circumstances,
to be content in whatever situation I find myself in. Big sigh.
How many of us can be like Paul in that regard?
What was it that gave him the ambition and drive to be content?
How do we get that contentment and practice it and then be at rest in it?
He said, I have learned.
I have learned.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned,
in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11
So Paul had to work through things.
He had to have lessons.
Who gives us lessons? None other but God Himself.
That is part of Him turning things for good for our sakes.
What the enemy meant for evil, God turns for good.
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good,
to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:20
I’ll try to sort my mountain of trials,
go through and let them be what they are
and not think of them as mountains.
Didn’t Jesus say, if you say unto this mountain
be thou removed and cast into the sea, it shall obey you?
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23
So much to learn. So many avenues to trust the Lord
and that is the eventual lesson in each problem isn’t it? To trust the Lord.
