My Word Shall Come to Pass

And the Lord said unto Moses, Is the Lord’s hand waxed short?
thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not. Numbers 11:23

There are a couple of things I found interesting
about this scripture, where God spoke to Moses
This was after the Israelites were complaining
about having no meat and the Lord grew tired of them
So, He told this to Moses and Moses thought it impossible
Moses was considered God’s friend
But there were other times with other people
who weren’t necessarily God’s friend
who heard the same message in a different way

Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief
And straightway the father of the child cried out,
and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Mark 9:24

Lord increase our faith
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. Luke 17:5

Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done
And there came a leper to him, beseeching him,
and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him,
If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
And Jesus, moved with compassion,
put forth his hand, and touched him,
and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. Mark 1:40-41

If thou will he said

So, Who gives us faith?
How can we believe unless God Himself gives us faith
Here, He tells Moses, no problem, you don’t believe Me?
I’ll do it and then you’ll believe Me

I think most people believe we have to believe first
in order for God to do something, whatever it is
When you believed on Jesus, He showed you a glimmer of Himself
He is the one who reveals Himself to us, the One who opens our eyes
It’s not any wonderful thing that we do that demonstrates faith, it’s all Him

People like to take the glory
and think of themselves more highly than they ought to
But it is not them, it’s Him
We can be participants, but He gives the faith
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God Romans 10:17
That’s elementary because He is His word

Jesus is there to help us
Us revealing our deficits to Him is precious to Him, like a gift
Humility, admitting He’s God
and we can’t do this, whatever it is, without Him
He is there to help us
