New Mercies

God’s Mercies are new every morning

We get caught up in what we did wrong
How we disappointed God and ourselves
Some scenes play over and over in our mind
Even sometimes after we ask for forgiveness
Hard to shake

As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:12
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool
. Isaiah 1:18

Believe Him
We are forgiven as we forgive
So check with God to make sure you are clean before Him,
that you are not holding anyone else in bondage,
that you are not treating someone else poorly
There are sometimes reasons your prayers are not answered,
such as this:

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge,
giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel,
and as being heirs together of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:7

Jesus mentions a few reasons prayers may be impeded:
Unforgiveness, sin, not praying according to His will
Check to be sure that you are free from hindrances
With His strength and forgiveness,
His mercies are new every day
He has forgiven you
Jesus made a way to the Father,
a way that clears up the dross
and where we can come boldly before His throne of grace

Jesus Christ is our Salvation
He is pleased when we care what He thinks,
when we are open to correction
and when we seek His ways to help us to be better people
Better in His sight

Scriptural References:

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Psalm 66:18

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss,
that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
James 4:3
