There is no fooling God
Some people try
I have tried
He sees right through it
Funny how people think they can justify things to God
His word is solid
It doesn’t change
He doesn’t change
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever
Many people have tried to change Him and have failed
The Pharisees and Sadducees tried to argue with Him,
To prove Him wrong
He cut right through their faulty arguments with the sword of His word
Probably the most famous example about trying to fool God
is when Adam and Eve were hiding from God
after they believed they would be like gods when they ate from the tree
The other example that comes to mind is
when Ananias and Sapphira tried to lie to God
They conspired to change the amount they received from their land
It seems they didn’t want to share
as this was a time Christians
were putting all things together to share with everyone else
I once told the Lord I don’t like to share either
He responded, “They didn’t die because they didn’t want to share, they were struck dead because they lied to the Holy Ghost”
He’s still working on that fault in me
The last thing we should do is hide our faults from God,
but rather, submit them to Him so He can mold us into His image
Anytime we try to hide things from God, that displeases Him
like we can?
We can’t
So, remembering that, revering Him, honoring Him and fearing Him
will keep us in His good graces,
realizing that we can’t be good on our own
Submitting to Him and His word
Like God, knowing good from evil?
We cannot know good from evil apart from the word
This is what makes the world so angry and hate God so much
There is no way around it
If we follow God, the Truth is our guideline
The truth is a tough guideline since there is no way to twist it,
to make it go our way
It is what it is
It is sound
It is unchanging
Permanent, fixed, eternal
Just like Jesus

And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? Genesis 3:11
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. Acts 5:1-10
