Don’t be concerned with losing your place.
If you are the Lord’s, your place is secure.
You can’t take anyone else’s place either, so trying would be futile.
John had his place as he laid his head on the Lord’s chest.
Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples,
whom Jesus loved. John 12:23
Mary had her place at the Lord’s feet.
And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet,
and heard His word. Luke 10:39
Find your place and rest in that.
Getting to know our Savior is a marvelous task,
sometimes daunting until you find your worth in Him.
Different than any other relationship because the Love of the Lord is sure and steadfast and secure and is always there for us.
His mercies are without end.
We are to count others better than ourselves.
Philippians 2:3 says: Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory;
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
This is a way of giving and we know that when we give,
we shall bountifully receive.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete
withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38
Helping others to know Jesus, sharing the gospel,
showing them ways to learn of Him is a wonderful gift we can give to others.
By being stingy or thinking we earned our relationship with Jesus
is not pleasing to God.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us:
and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16
