Men’s hearts failing them for fear,
and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:
for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26
How do we really trust in Jesus?
We know we are supposed to.
We know Jesus can calm the seas and remedy everything that we encounter.
We are entering into perilous times.
Remember when the disciples wanted to fight for Jesus’ life?
When Peter cut off the High Priest’s ear and Jesus healed him?
and when they did not want Him to suffer and die?
He told them: Shall I not do the will of My Father?
Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath:
the cup which My Father hath given Me, shall I not drink it? John 18:11
It is not so easy to trust the Lord sometimes.
We see things and we know things
and we have situations that seem impossible.
We are aware of the evil one.
Without God, we will not make it.
Without learning what it truly means to trust Him,
we are going to have it rough.
Those men whose hearts fail them
have not exercised their senses to trust the Lord.
They might not even know the Lord.
Practice, ask Him to teach you.
Don’t get used to doing everything on your own.
Let Him rule and reign and be the strength He can be for you.
Trusting our own heart will end in failure as human hearts will fail.
Jesus gave us hope.
To the Pharisees, He said this:
Then said Jesus again unto them, I go My way, and ye shall seek Me,
and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
Then said the Jews, Will He kill himself? because He saith,
Whither I go, ye cannot come. John 8:21-22
But to the disciples, Jesus comforted them and said this:
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,
and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither Thou goest;
and how can we know the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. John 14:3-6
Some people will never get it.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Matt. 13:16
Not so easy sometimes, but much easier if you know the Way.
