Life is short.
Time flies.
Where does the time go?
Even the world recognizes that our lives on this planet are brief.
Those are sayings we hear all the time.
Life is but a breath.
There are some that are trying to prolong life on earth.
We have scientific extensions to live, cloaning or other means.
Life on earth is not where it’s at for those who have given their lives to Jesus.
The Earth is temporal.
The things we see, hear and touch are all fading away each moment.
In 10 years, you’ll have to repaint that room,
and you will have more wrinkles, more aches and pains, less stamina.
Our bodies are deteriorating and that is part of life on this planet.
We can try to avert aging, try to extend it,
but the truth is, we are not here for long.
We don’t have much time on earth.
Our days are numbered.
Each moment passes and brings us closer to the end of our days.
That means whatever we value, that will be where we spend our time.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
Make the most of your time.
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63
Let God be of utmost importance.
Especially since what we do here matters in Eternity.
Scriptural References:
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.
The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.
And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:24-25
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
Job 14:5
