Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect;
and in thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned,
when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:16
God knows every one of our days because He is God
He is able and He is omniscient
He knows everything, absolutely everything
I have someone very close to me in the hospital
She is at the brink
I have prayed for her healing
I do not know what will happen
I have put her situation in the hands of God who doeth all things well
O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down,
and art acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
Thou hast beset me behind and before,
and laid thine hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high,
I cannot attain unto it. Psalm 139:1-6
Our ideas of life and death are not sure
Even if we have much knowledge of the word and have experienced death,
we still do not understand fully the purpose of our lives
and the lives of those around us
Once we have committed our lives to God, we are no longer our own
They belong to the Most High God
He is in control and the flesh is not what we live for,
but it’s what we know, it’s what we see, it’s what we feel
To keep our heads and hearts in God’s hands is not always easy
The flesh is our lives and our bodies and what we see and hear
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.
For what is your life?
It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time,
and then vanisheth away.
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
James 4:14-15
Trusting the Lord for life and death is difficult
Truly trusting the Lord for anything is an effort until it’s done,
then, it just becomes a part of us
