Our flesh will return to dust.
That is a sobering thought.
We will have nothing left of this Earth, neither gold nor silver, rings or gems,
or any other treasure we can obtain in this fleshly world.
We will be returned to dust.
Our spirits are eternal.
Some of the choices we make here on Earth are without end.
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Job 19:25-26
As we get old, though we could die at any time, our aging flesh reminds us how quickly our lives go by.
Job also said, Our lives are but a breath. (from Job 7:7)
Our time will slip by without much purpose if we let it.
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life?
It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14
Our days are in the hands of the Lord.
We are just flesh, mere mortals.
It is only by God’s grace and mercy that we remain.
We remain to be given more time to do what we can for the Kingdom of God.
We remain to reach our hands out to the lost, to say one more prayer, to encourage one more person.
The wicked are also used by God and they do not know it.
God uses people for His purposes.
One day we will see clearly, until then, we only know in part.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part;
but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12
