Jesus said, Follow Me.
He did not say follow your pastor,
He did not say, follow your favorite politician,
He said, Follow Me.
Man’s doctrine and trusting in political parties can be disappointing.
You can like these people, agree with them, spend time with them, work for their campaigns,
but remember to always follow Jesus first and foremost and keep your loyalty to Him and not any man.
Christians get so mesmerized by people, pastors, church leaders, politicians.
Following men or man’s doctrine is a form of idolatry.
We have to be careful. We cannot trust any person completely as humans can fail us. Jesus never fails us.
Jesus is the only one who always has your best interests at heart, every single time.
Of course we have people we can trust, but never more than we trust the Lord.
They always need to be 2nd place to the Lord God.
Even spouses, parents, children or any other person whom we might elevate.
He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me:
and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:37
Love the truth, keep Jesus first, don’t rely on your own strength.
To trust in any fleshly philosophy, system, doctrine, or mindset is choosing another god.
Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:60
