Jesus warned us.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines,
and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Matthew 24:7
Pestilences usually include death. Covid was a mild pestilence,
though the people whose loved ones died probably will not agree.
In Revelation 6, the four horsemen are let loose to bring death and destruction.
The only thing that would confirm the idea of pestilence is death in that chapter.
Jesus warned us. He warned us to let us know that destruction will be happening all around us
and it may even happen to some of us. Some of us may die. Jesus never said we wouldn’t die.
We just don’t know if we will still be here when the Lord Jesus Christ returns.
Behold, He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and they also who pierced Him;
and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so. Amen. Revelation 1:7
There will be many who will be martyred and some of the things coming on the earth will cause death.
That does not mean God does not love us.
Death is inevitable, unless we last until Jesus returns, then we will be transformed.
Somehow I think enduring may be harder than dying, even martyrdom.
There is a new pestilence on the horizon that has been looming for some years already.
It has mutated and become quite strong. It is the latest version of the Bird Flu.
The authorities have been trying to stop the spread and have decided that the whole flock,
no matter how big, must be culled if there has been a strain of Bird Flu found on the premises.
This has been happening in several parts of the world and the culling it will make its way to our country.
Depending on how severe this becomes, this could also cause very high food prices
and could even lead to famine, which we have also been warned about.
It is so important to stay close to Jesus, stay in His word, listen and hold onto Him for strength to endure.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
