Planting seeds seems a small thing.
It might be a meaningful word to someone or a prayer for someone, sprinkled with love.
We have heard about the parable of the mustard seed:
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs,
and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Matthew 13:32
We are not to despise small beginnings.
For who hath despised the day of small things?
for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven;
they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth. Zechariah 4:10
Be genuine.
Be true.
Share what you know.
Share what Jesus has done for you,
how He has touched your life,
how He has answered your prayers.
Testify of His greatness.
Testify of His mercy.
Testify of all the things you know He has done.
God will take your seeds and cause them to grow.
You might expect it, but you might not see that growth.
Some will be near and we should joy in their growth, other seeds might die and others may blow away.
Yet others might flourish in unexpected ways.
That is not our concern.
God still wants us to scatter the seed.
The richness of the growth will be apparent in the end.
It may not be the way we expect, it may be a surprise.
The growth is not our doing.
We have no power without Jesus and His Holy Spirit.
The growth for each seed, or each deed is in His hands.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6
His Son shines down on what we have done and causes it to flourish.
Do not lose heart dear ones.
God is working.
God is able.
And God is waiting for us to plant the seeds so He can bless them.
