Praying for Open Doors

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent?
as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things
! Romans 10:14-16

Without being sent, how can they hear?
We can pray that we are sent. Sent by the Holy Spirit.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.
Matthew 9:38

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63
Without the Holy Spirit in the mix, our words will not be profitable.
With the exception of the Word, which will never come back empty.

Some who speak the Word of God use it as a whip.
Be careful about that.
Make sure your heart is yielded to the Lord
and that the Word is guided by His Holy Spirit.

The Apostles spend their time preaching the gospel.
We, too, have a field, a domain that God has given us.
Let us be ready in season and out:
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine
. 2 Timothy 4:2

I ask the Lord for open doors.
I never know how it’s going to happen.
He gives me opportunities, natural openings and the right things to say,
that fit my personality and that are fitting for the conversation
or the situation.
It’s a beautiful thing to see, to watch the way the Lord opens doors.
Be willing. Be open. Be obedient.
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of:
for necessity is laid upon me;
yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospe
l! 1 Corinthians 9:16

So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth:
it shall not return unto Me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it
. Isaiah 55:11
