In order for us to want to proclaim the gospel,
we must first value it
If we don’t, if it doesn’t mean much to us,
how can we honestly care?
If we don’t believe fully in what Jesus promised
about eternity
and the treasures of heaven
and the pits of Hell
and that He was who He said He was,
then what difference does it make if we tell others?
If we do believe,
we will tell others
and join The Great Commission as often as we can
We will want others to know our Lord
and Who He is
how He is so different from any other god,
how He is God
Whether it be by praying,
giving to a ministry, missionaries
or by going into the mission field ourselves,
doing mission work to those in our own neighborhood or city,
doing things in our fleshly bodies,
We will want to participate
because we will understand leading others to Christ is valuable and important
If we haven’t grasped that Truth, then we can’t pretend to care
It has to come from within
The kingdom of God is within you
When you give your life to Jesus, He indwells you
If you are not experiencing that fire,
the burning in your spirit to bring others to Him
and keep them from the fiery Damnation of Hell,
you are not all the way there, with Him, in His fullness
If you have lost your first love or maybe have never even found it,
it can be difficult to care about eternity
and spending time to mature in the Kingdom
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Revelation 2:4
In other words, He wants to be our primary focus while we walk here on earth
This cannot happen in the natural
this comes from honestly seeking and desiring His presence,
desiring to know Him in a deeper way,
learning more about Him by reading His word,
fasting, praying, studying, listening
We each have a call of God on our lives,
maybe more than one
We have talents and abilities He has given us,
perceptions and wisdom about different things
that come from the experiences He has allowed us to go through
Your call may not seem important to you
You may even be participating in His best for your life right now
Realize that when you do work for His kingdom, you are very valuable
and that even as you serve the least of these in His name,
you are serving Him
Jesus sees and knows everything you do
There is not one deed done for His kingdom that will be forgotten by Him
If your heart is clean and pure before Him in what you are doing,
that is, you are truly doing tasks for Jesus and not for some earthly reward,
it will never be forgotten by our Creator
and you will be rewarded
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
He said, If I be truly lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me
If your life is lifting Him up,
if you are seeking His will,
if you are listening as much as you can
and willing to yield to His direction,
you are pleasing in His sight
and helping the kingdom more than you may know
Our lives are not our lives if we have given them to Him,
they belong to God
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. John 17:9-10 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. 1 Corinthians 3:23
Help us to be sensitive to what You are asking of us, Lord Jesus,
to lift You up in all that we do
and to search for Your will
which is not always easy to find
so that we may gladly Proclaim the Gospel
that others may also know You
