There are many promises in the bible that God has given
Some promises are famous, we have all heard them
Many of them come with conditions
Noah had to build the Ark
which was the way God chose to save him and his family from the flood
King David was anointed young and he had to run for his life and also wait
Lot had to flee or get destroyed by fire from Heaven
Lot’s wife didn’t accept the condition and spurned the promise
Rahab had to climb out of the window to be safe, on a scarlet rope
Jonah knew if he didn’t obey God and warn the people,
a worse fate awaited him than being in the belly of the whale for three days
Stephen knew he had to preach the gospel, no matter what the cost
Ananias and Sapphira did not know if they lied to the Holy Ghost,
they would drop dead
All these promises or covenants had conditions
Sometimes the people did not know what the conditions were,
but they still did what they did, whether it was obeying the Lord or not
A few of them found out the hard way how important the conditions were
God says often, if you do this, I will do this or He has made it a spiritual law
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete
withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38 KJV

Forgive others~~You’ll be forgiven Matthew 6:14
Draw near to God~~God will draw near to you James 4:8
Deny Jesus before men~~Jesus will deny you Matthew 10:33
Our relationship with God is a give and take relationship
Everything is a choice:
To wear your armour,
To walk in love
To follow Jesus
The rewards are endless, the conditions are reasonable and always worth it
