Questioning God is folly
It is ludicrous, pure idiocy
We do it anyway
We ask and wonder and are not able to understand His ways until…
He teaches us
Teaching us can take a long time, much despair and heartache,
many bouts with suffering and being humbled over and over again
Death to the flesh
Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou Me.
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?
declare, if thou hast understanding.
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest?
or who hath stretched the line upon it? Job 38:1-5
This is when God answered Job after he had been through all of his trials and sufferings and his friends told Job how he had offended God and God set them straight. These few sentences are just the beginning. God went on and on and on. He made perfect sense. Who can argue with God? Who can question Him or His ways? I have at times. We all have, until somehow we learn His ways are higher than ours. It takes a while to get that, to truly submit yourself to yourself and then to God, that is, to make a determination that God’s ways are best and then to be humble before Him, bringing your weaknesses before Him so He can set you in correct alignment.
This is what the Lord says— the Holy One of Israel and your Creator:
“Do you question what I do for my children?
Do you give me orders about the work of my hands? Isaiah 45:11 NLT
People have a habit of telling God what to do and how to do it
Some think they know best, especially when it concerns their own life
God makes it clear, He knows best
Pray His will and let Him be in charge
Let Him reign in every situation that concerns you,
every situation in your dominion
If we resist His way, we only make things harder
Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth.
Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou?
or thy work, He hath no hands? Isaiah 45:9
We would all do well to try to remember Who is in charge
and then not question Him but instead, trust Him and let Him do what He will
