Read it Again!

The Word of God is rich,
dense,
full of the attributes of Christ,
full of life
The Word of God is God:
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
John 1:1

The Word of God literally is living and powerful
Its riches are hidden and deep,
penetrating the darkest corner of the human heart
Not easy to dismiss once the word has been spoken,
since it never returns empty
It accomplishes what it was sent forth to do
That is why it is so important to speak it
when we are quickened by the Holy Spirit
To warn people, to share God’s love, to speak the truth
Those who hear it will be touched one way or another
It may be that those very words
will testify against them on judgment day
That is not an idea but a reality for those who refuse the gospel

The word is how God created the Heavens and the Earth
Jesus spoke it into being
And God said…Genesis 1
So, Read it again!
Let the riches of the Word penetrate your heart
Cast down those vain imaginations in your mind
Keep it as a treasure protected from thieves

My mind wanders when I read
I sometimes have a hard time concentrating
Whatever your obstacles, find a way to overcome them
so that the value of God’s Word can find worth in your heart

Since it is multi-faceted and full-bodied,
it is possible to see things you have never seen
or realize things you have never realized
and you might be surprised
because the Holy Spirit is our teacher
and reveals secrets to us as we are able to bear them
or perhaps as we need to hear them or understand them
Reading God’s Word is how we increase our faith
His Word is His testimony
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God Romans 10:17
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is in the Word of God
The Word of God lives in us, full of grace and truth
The Word is alive
