How can we tell the difference?
There are so many lies and deceptions out there
Even if you love the truth, you can get fooled 2 Thessalonians 2:10
It has happened to all of us
Err on the side of Love
We must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:
be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16
Turn the other cheek Matthew 5:39
Go the extra mile Matthew 5:41
Everywhere you look, there are counterfeits to the truth
Deception is truth with error
Many religions contain the teachings of Christ
Karma is an example
What goes around comes around
There is truth in that
God has set up in the world a spiritual Law:
You reap what you sow:
Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
And we will all face God on Judgment Day
to answer for our deeds and our idle words
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10
The term Karma does not explain the full truth
Exercise your senses
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age,
even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14
Learn His word so that you may recognize lies
So that you will be able to sort out the truth from deception
Not all teachers of the Bible speak the truth
even if they seem to know many scriptures
It is always best to search the scriptures yourself
and seek His truth by His Holy Spirit,
rather than relying on a human to tell you an answer
There was a Shock Poll that came out yesterday:
60% of people between the ages of 18-39,
who consider themselves Born again believers
do not think Jesus is the only way to the Father
They will be shocked when they find out
that those who do not believe Jesus is the only way
are not Born Again
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy
hath begotten us again unto a lively hope
by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
No other way:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 1 John 14:6
Stay in constant communication with God
We can always ask Him for wisdom:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,
that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;
and it shall be given him. James 1:5
We also can rely on and seek His Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth:
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13
We can be confident that God knows our hearts
and if we are truly seeking the truth, He will reveal it to us
