Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness,
and receive with meekness the engrafted word,
which is able to save your souls. James 1:21
The engrafted word, that is the word given to us by God
in a way only His Spirit can do:
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;
After those days, saith the Lord, I will put My law in their inward parts,
and write it in their hearts;
and will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jeremiah 31:33
It is not enough to know the Word of God and what it says
We need God’s Holy Spirit to engraft it into us, to make it a part of us,
to let it be written in our hearts so that we also become a part of it
That process is not something we can do
No matter how hard we try, we will never be able to make that happen
It has to be God’s work
We can seek Him about it, ask Him about it,
but that process is not a natural process,
it is a spiritual miracle and God is the One who produces miracles
In the very scripture about engrafting the word,
we are instructed to lay apart all filthiness and receive with meekness,
in other words, with humility, bowing to the truth,
realizing that God is the author, He is the writer,
the writer who writes on human hearts
The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way.
Psalm 25:9
For all those things hath Mine hand made, and all those things have been,
saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor
and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My word. Isaiah 66:2
It’s an anomaly
Once we are humble before Him, He exalts us
However, that is always His choice
Always take the lower seat before Him and when He beckons you,
you will be allowed to partake
The humility before Him is honored by Him if we are truly humble
God honored the humility of Noah, He mentioned it
and all the other characters who realized His majesty
and in case they forgot, God had His ways to remind them
To barge into His throne room and demand that He
write His word on our heart is not going to work
He does what He does and how He does it is up to Him
Find out what He is looking for, what He is asking of you
He will make it clear
Assuming to know is pride
Even if there are directions written in the Holy Bible,
He may confirm you got it, but He also may quicken something you left out
Let Him teach you and lead you and guide you, we all must do that
Our walk is unique to each of us and what seems right for someone else
might not be exactly what He is asking of each of us
We serve a Living God and His word is living and active
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6
Scriptural References:

above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Numbers 12:3
For they themselves shew of us
what manner of entering in we had unto you,
and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
1 Thessalonians 1:9
For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
