There are people out there who waste our time and our needed energy
Some are sent by the enemy just to vex us, to drain us,
to make us think we are helping them,
but they are like bottomless pits
They waste our precious time that could be used to further the kingdom
We get hit with obligations,
those who manipulate us to do things for them
because they think we should
God may have other plans
Following the Holy Spirit and His leading can sometimes be unclear,
especially if we have been manipulated by people including pastors
It may be someone who likes to debate
They are not accepting anything you say in the truth,
but they just keep arguing the same point or points
That takes time and energy and it very well might be
they will never come to the knowledge of the truth
I have seen pride rise up where people think
they can enlighten a person in their own strength
To be enlightened by the Holy Spirit comes one way and it is not from us,
it is from God Himself
Paul told us to shake the dust off our feet if people don’t accept the gospel
To get wrapped up in their arguments against the Lord
is not a valuable use of our time
Before I was saved, I was one such person
The Lord kept bringing different people across my path
who shared the gospel with me and who were witnesses for Jesus
Eventually, the Lord got through to me
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6
We are all useful to the Lord in humility, not in our own strength
So then neither is he that planteth any thing,
neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:7
This is by no means telling anyone
how anyone should or should not spend their time,
but be aware, there are those who are not from God
or who you may not have all the time and energy to give them
We aim save souls
but it’s not really we who have the power to open their eyes,
it is the Lord and His Holy Spirit
Let God have His perfect way in each of our lives, considering each moment, each encounter with others yielded to His Holy Spirit
It is there, in His perfect will, that we will find our purpose
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling,
not according to our works,
but according to his own purpose and grace,
which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2 Timothy 1:9
