Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth,
and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
Lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him,
and He turn away His wrath from him. Proverbs 24:17-18
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
There is no time when the Lord will want us to rejoice over others’ misfortunes.
He encourages us to love our enemies and do good to those who abuse us.
King David honored the Lord in not killing Saul
though he had many opportunities to do so neither would he let his people kill him.
Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how
that the Lord had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said,
I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the Lord’s anointed.
1 Samuel 24:10
Sometimes the Lord did have his people rise against their enemies.
God was always in charge when that happened.
God prepared the King’s heart before he allowed the King the revealing of Haman
and that he was planning to kill the Jews.
Esther participated in Haman’s demise, but not without the Lord’s direction.
Her heart hated the evil within him and trusted God for His Judgment on Haman.
Walk hand in hand with the Lord against your enemies.
Jesus will give you wisdom and help you to follow His will.
Whether He will cause your enemies to fall or whether it may seem like they have won for the time being, God is in charge.
So, be careful with your heart, not to let hatred seep in.
Unforgiveness and hatred are so difficult for the human mind to surrender.
Hope and pray for the souls of your enemies.
If people refuse to choose the Lord, they may become affected the evil they serve.
God will deal with them and fight for His people.
He will not let your foot be moved.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:2-4
Jesus allows the enemy to be close to us sometimes.
He may wreck havoc in some instances, we also know the Lord Jesus will triumph.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world. John 16:33
When we humble ourselves before Jesus and keep Him the focus of our lives,
the enemy will seem much smaller and insignificant.
