Acquaintances
Friends
the store clerk
the wait staff at the restaurant
the gas station attendant
the checker at the convenience store
the person looking at books next to you
Neighbors’ extended family
Have they heard the gospel?
It seems most people have but have they accepted or rejected it?
The answer to that we do not know
We might be letting opportunities slip by
Paul says Be ready in season and out:
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2 Timothy 4:2
You never know, there may be a divine appointment going on
if you are listening, you will hear
Keep your eyes on Jesus and ask for open doors
and a timely word to preach the gospel
He will make ways
They will be amazing and in a way, natural
He knows you and he knows the other guy
So, I encourage you to be listening and ready
If Jesus prompts you to pray
or gives you a thought,
or reminds you of something He has done in your life,
or a passage from His word to share, be obedient
Jesus knows their past and the thoughts of their hearts
We do not
We have no way of knowing unless He shows us
We just have to draw on Him as a well of living water to give to others
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him
shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him
shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:14
