Seal up the Breaches

Fortify your walls

Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8

If we have openings in our armor,
such as those listed in Ephesians 6,
we can be open to Satan’s devices:
“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
nor give place to the devil
Ephesians 4:26-27

The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the Law of Sin and Death
Romans 8:2
As long as we are operating free from wickedness,
we are protected by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus
If, due to some sort of sin, we have disobeyed His commandments,
or even one of His commandments,
we most likely have created a breach in our wall
Keep yourselves free from sin

Confess and repent, the sooner, the better
Realize that you are not perfect,
to consider oneself perfect, that also is sin
That our confessions to the Lord, to be cleansed from His blood
and our best efforts at repentance
are what we can do as imperfect humans,
to work toward perfection in the Lord
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:48

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:
of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past,
that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Ephesians 5:19-21

I went to the communion table the other day
Examining my heart, I was prompted by the Lord
to make something right with someone
I even felt like I shouldn’t take communion until I did that
While we can’t be responsible for everything that someone feels,
we are always responsible for our own actions or reactions
if we can correct something that we did
that might have made a difficult circumstance for someone else,
we are to be the bigger person
because we have the Holy Spirit to help us do so

God knows what we are able to do and are capable of,
whether or not we are doing the best we are able to,
as far as following His commandments and walking in His statutes,
The best we are able
God knows
And, if we give Him the opportunity to let His Holy Spirit have His way,
He might even ask us to correct something
That might be a breach we aren’t aware of
A breach of unforgivenss hidden deep down, or the like,
or maybe where our fleshly attitudes may have wounded another
Whatever the case, if the Lord prompts you to do something, do it

Our flesh is very ugly and demands this and that
Jesus’ admonition of turning the other cheek
doesn’t come easily sometimes

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil:
but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek,
turn to him the other also. Matthew 5:39

Keeping our walls fortified and sealed up from the enemy
can be a trying task
Do the best you can,
seek help from the Lord as much as you need to
and examine your own heart and actions
None of us are perfect, ignoring that fact can cause a breach,
which would be a breach of pride, the ugliest of all breaches
Seal them up as the Lord gives you wisdom by His Holy Spirit,
with the understanding the best you can,
and God will see your intentions and strengthen you,
meet you where you are to help you in your time of need:
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need
.
Hebrews 4:16

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew himself strong
in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

Herein thou hast done foolishly:
therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
2 Chronicles 16:9

For all those things hath mine hand made,
and all those things have been, saith the Lord:
but to this man will I look,
even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Isaiah 66:2
