How do you do that?
It’s not something we can do,
not something we can make happen in our own strength
It is part of seeking the Lord’s treasures that we cannot find in the natural
He is the one who opens our eyes so we can see things as we are ready
What you can handle now may be less than you
will be able to handle years later
even months, weeks, or even days
Jesus told the disciples: I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. John 16:12
Maybe you have experienced a revelation from the Lord,
where you know it is more than what we know in our world
Or a mystery solved or felt the experience of being sensitive in the spirit,
searching for the deep things of God that only He can reveal to you
sorting it out in the natural, with your mind,
is not going to work for the spiritual
When you don’t expect it,
that promise will be revealed
because it is not your doing,
but the Lord who opens your eye
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Matthew 13:11
If you read His word like a natural document
then, that is what you can expect to get from it
Your formulas may work and you may learn much,
but if you read His word as though it is Him
The word was made flesh and dwelt among us, full of Grace and truth
that His word is alive and powerful in the spiritual
full of revelations and secrets of the spiritual,
you will be able to see with your spiritual eye
Realizing a revelation does become clear to you
when you know that it is not from you
He opens our eyes,
You know that something is open that was not before
that is our spiritual eye to see as we are able, as He allows,
It is not something we can learn by simply studying
Then again, studying His word is very good
Keep your ears open, listening
and your eyes open, seeing
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 11:15
It is hard to explain to someone else how your spiritual eye can be opened,
how you can receive from the Lord’s hand what He wants to show you
He knows how to teach each of us
He knows how to communicate with you
Your experiences with him will be unique
from what other people may experience,
although, there may be some similarities
The gospel is foolishness to those who do not believe
They cannot understand it because their eyes are closed
having your eye opened to know that He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
That did not happen by your doing
Jesus revealed the Father to you
That goes along with salvation,
that is, their spiritual eye has not been opened and until it is, they will not see
Your spiritual awakening will happen in areas you do not expect
because each gem is a gift from God
a very special truth that He is sharing with you to draw you closer to Him
Perhaps it has to do with motives
Check your heart: what is your motive?
Why do you want to know more about Jesus?
If it is to gain some notoriety for yourself,
if so, that is not a good motive
Keeping our motives pure will bring us to the humility before the Cross
and our fear of the Lord is a gateway to the lovely things of God
Sometimes God begins to give people spiritual understanding
and then it gets tainted
Because of impure motives or desires
I’m sure you have noticed preachers who are not teaching the truth,
maybe some of what they say is truth,
but then you will see error,
pride or other impure thoughts and displays
that often do not glorify Jesus
If Jesus is not the center,
that is a red flag,
the biggest one we can see
Be very careful from whom you are taught
Test their words: Are they pointing to Jesus or to themselves?
Who is being glorified?
Who is at the center?
Do they encourage you to seek God on your own
or are they wanting you to hear the word of God from only them,
because they set themselves up to be a mediator?
Putting oneself between God and others is pride
Pride is something we all have to watch for
Pride is what caused Satan to fall
Pride is what can cause any of us to fall
We are not God
and our humility before Him is something we must keep at front and center
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
This is the one to whom I will look,
he who is of a contrite heart and who trembles at my word
Humble yourself before His word
Humble yourself before His ways
Humble yourself before His throne
Humble yourself before His deity
Humble yourself before His holiness
Humble yourself before Him in every way
When you submit yourself to Him,
seek after His righteousness,
look for His truths,
He will reward you
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6
