Finding hidden treasure is a most wonderful experience.
We can hear about Jesus and learn about Jesus, but when He shows us a part of Himself,
there is nothing that can compare.
The rich young ruler did not understand that Treasure was standing right in front of him.
He had a life filled with Earthly treasures and did not recognize spiritual treasures,
even though he followed the law to the best of his ability.
Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him,
Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor,
and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow Me.. Luke 18:22
Give up everything and follow Jesus?
That is what Jesus asks.
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:33
Jesus mentions giving up all to follow Him more than once.
He tells us if we do not put Him first, we are not worthy of Him.
He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me:
and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:37
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
Jesus does not reveal hidden treasure to just any one.
He wants us to seek Him, to search for Him with all our hearts. (see Jeremiah 29:13)
It is then, that God will consider someone worthy of knowing His heart
and of understanding the treasures of Heaven.
This is the answer to the question: How do I find hidden treasure?
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth;
and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
God doesn’t do fake. If there is a desire to know Him, He will know.
If someone just wants His glory without Him, He will know that, too.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Matthew 13:45-46
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found,
he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Matthew 13:44
Seek and find hidden treasure of the Kingdom.
