Our idea of perfection and God’s idea of perfection is not the same thing
God’s idea of perfection leads us to true humility
and abandonment of our self
Our idea of being in God’s perfect will
might be a glorified holiness or other ideal of the flesh
that can be seen by ourselves and others
We also cannot determine another’s perfection before God
We are not given the right to decide whether or not they are condemned
or whether or not they are perfect or not perfect in God’s sight
Similarly, we also do not decide who is capable or incapable of Salvation
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:
for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:44-45
The disciples wanted to condemn people
and Jesus was not pleased with them
And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord,
wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven,
and consume them, even as Elias did?
But He turned, and rebuked them, and said,
Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives,
but to save them. And they went to another village. Luke 9:54-56
Vengeance belongs to the Lord and we do not see all the things God sees
Our ability to see things is limited in the flesh
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:
for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12:19
I saw a lady today condemn someone to Hell
She said the person was not Kingdom of God material
None of us are
Jesus loves people
He has made all of these people that dwell on the Earth with us
We do not get to decide who is Kingdom material and who is not
God’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save:
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: Isaiah 59:1
No matter what they have done
Jesus does not need our help
to decide who does and who does not receive Salvation
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
That says ALL
All means all
The Greek word is translated to Everyone
Do not let your love grow cold
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Matthew 24:12
So, the next time you see someone who you think is an enemy of the Lord, God’s heart is that we love that person
and pray that God will give them an opportunity
to know Jesus the way we do, or the way we hope we do
Our Lord and Savior is abounding with Grace and Mercy and Steadfast Love
Eternity is a very long time and the decision of where someone else
will spend Eternity is never up to us
